Lisa in her own words…

As an occupational therapist, I am passionate about empowering individuals to regain independence, improve functionality, and enhance their quality of life after life-altering injuries. With a strong focus on neurorehabilitation, I have focused the majority of my career in supporting recovery from spinal cord injuries and acquired brain injuries. I also have a deep interest in designing accessible and universally adapted home environments, enabling individuals to thrive in spaces tailored to their unique needs. Watching clients progress, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals is the driving force behind my commitment to this field. I firmly believe that, despite impairments, everyone can lead a fulfilling and meaningful life. My approach to therapy is inspired by my stepmother, whose resilience, strength, and unwavering positivity after a stroke and other health challenges profoundly shaped my perspective on rehabilitation.
I reside in the Kitchener-Waterloo area with my husband, two children and chocolate lab, enjoying an active and dynamic lifestyle together. When I’m not working or spending time with loved ones, I enjoy a wide range of activities that keep me energized and connected. From hosting events, golfing, wakeboarding, and downhill skiing to playing board games and creating unique cocktails. I thrive on experiences that blend creativity, amusement and social connection. These pursuits reflect my belief in living life to the fullest and finding joy in the everyday moments.
